This morning we received an email from Invisalign. Invisalign has now treated more than 2 million patients worldwide.
“I am pleased to announce an important milestone in the history of Align Technology: Now, 2 million patients worldwide have been treated with Invisalign.
Since Invisalign was launched in 1999, we have been making bolder and bolder strides. Our product line has significantly expanded to offer treatment options ranging from minor movements of the teeth to the most complex cases. The treatment of the two millionth patient in the world represents a major achievement for Align Technology and clearly reflects the high level of trust inspired in orthodontists and dentists by Invisalign’s reliability in treating malocclusions effectively. It also testifies to Invisalign’s high rates of approval by consumers worldwide.
The lucky two millionth patient was Tessa Dyer, an 18-year-old resident of New Hampshire (United States).
‘I’ve wanted to correct my teeth for a long time and the time was right. Really right’, said Dyer. ‘I can’t believe I am the two millionth patient. Of all the braces options presented to me, Invisalign Teen best fit my lifestyle… Now I can’t wait to get started with my treatment.’
We are firmly committed to improving clinical outcomes by accelerating our rate of research and innovation, as well as improving our clinical training programmes and Customer Service Department. A number of significant advances will be announced throughout the coming year. I sincerely hope to continue working with all of you in 2013.”
